Introduction:
Fresh fruit juices are commonly utilized in most urban homes. In the past, using fruit drinks started with use of orange juice, like a supply of ascorbic acid to avoid scurvy. However, today marketplaces are flooded with quite a number of juices e.g., mango, apple, guava, litchi, grape, pineapple, etc. The primary reason behind elevated consumption is altering life styles and rising degree of health awareness among customers and fogeys. Fresh fruit juices are understood to be calorically sweetened drinks with a small % of juice or juice flavor that contains bubbly water(2). Fresh fruit juices have under 20% concentrate and nectars have around 20 to 99% concentrate. Sometimes, fortifiers for example ascorbic acid or calcium will also be put into the fresh fruit juices. Fruits and 100% juices contain water, simple carbohydrates (sucrose, fructose, glucose, sorbitol), large quantities of vitamins (C, A) and minerals (potassium, calcium etc.)(1). However fresh fruit juices, even 100% juice isn't equal to raw fruit. Fruits supply materials and phytochemicals to diet, which aren't contained in juices. Juice devoids the kid of possibilities to understand abilities like peeling, eating, and distinguishing between colors, textures and shapes.
