Introduction:
THE INDIAN paint industry, estimated to be around Rs. 6,000 crores, including the Rs. 1,500 crore unorganized sector, is showing signs of emerging from the difficult phase it had undergone for the last three years.
The Organised paint sector constitutes 65 per cent of the market and is growing at 3-4 per cent. India's per capita paint consumption is 200 gm against 5 kg in developed countries.
